This invoice generator is for freelancers and small businesses who need to send an invoice now, without signing up for accounting software. Type straight onto the invoice: your details, your client's, and a line for each piece of work. Totals, discount and tax update as you go.
Everything is saved in your browser, so you can close the tab and pick up where you left off. Nothing is uploaded: your client list and amounts stay on this device. When it's ready, print it or choose “Save as PDF” in the print dialog to get a clean file to email.
How to use it
- Add your name or business, address and email under From. Add a logo if you have one.
- Fill in who you're billing, then set the issue date, due date and currency.
- Add a line for each product or service with its quantity and rate. Amounts and the total calculate themselves.
- Set a discount or tax rate if you need one, and add payment details in Notes.
- Click “Print or save PDF” and pick “Save as PDF” to download the invoice.
- Next time, click “New invoice”. It keeps your details, currency and tax rate and moves to the next invoice number.
What it does
- Live totals with a percentage discount and tax applied after the discount
- 13 currencies, formatted the way your browser's language expects
- Your logo on the invoice (PNG, JPG or SVG up to 400 KB)
- Automatic invoice numbering: INV-0041 becomes INV-0042
- A print layout that hides the buttons, so the PDF looks like a real invoice
- Saved automatically in your browser, with no account and no upload

Questions
Is this invoice generator really free?
Yes. There's no signup, no trial, no watermark and no limit on how many invoices you make. You can also download the source code and run it yourself.
How do I save the invoice as a PDF?
Click “Print or save PDF”, then choose “Save as PDF” (or “Microsoft Print to PDF” on Windows) as the printer. The buttons and edit highlights are hidden in the printed version.
Where is my data stored?
Only in this browser, on this device. Nothing you type is sent to a server. Clearing your browser data, or clicking “Clear my data” above the app, removes it.
Can I keep a list of past invoices?
This version keeps one invoice at a time, so save each as a PDF before starting a new one. If you want a history, client list or recurring invoices, remix the app in Instacode and ask for them.
How is tax calculated?
The discount comes off the subtotal first, then tax is applied to what's left. Check the rules where you work: some places need a tax ID or specific wording on the invoice, which you can add in Notes.
