This UUID generator is for developers, testers and database admins who need random version 4 identifiers in bulk. Choose how many you want, from 1 to 1000, and press the generate button. The tool creates them with your browser's secure random source and lists them in numbered rows. You can set the case, hyphens, quotes and separator to match wherever the IDs are going next.
Everything runs in your browser. The UUIDs are created on your device and nothing is uploaded to a server, and there is no account to make. Your settings and the last batch are saved in this browser's local storage, so they are still there when you come back. Press “Clear” to empty the list whenever you like.
How to use it
- Type a number from 1 to 1000 under “How many UUIDs?”, or tap one of the quick buttons: 1, 10, 100 or 1000.
- Under Letter case, pick “lowercase” or “UPPERCASE”, and switch “Hyphens” on or off.
- Set Quotes to “None”, double quotes or single quotes, and set Separator to “New line” or “Comma”.
- Press the green generate button, which reads something like “Generate 10 UUIDs”.
- Click “Copy all” to put the list on your clipboard, or “Download .txt” to save it as a text file.
- Click “Clear” to empty the results when you are done.
What it does
- Generates RFC 4122 version 4 UUIDs in batches of 1 to 1000, using crypto.randomUUID or crypto.getRandomValues.
- Lowercase or uppercase output, and hyphenated (8-4-4-4-12) or 32-character output with no dashes.
- Optional double or single quotes around each UUID, plus a comma separator that adds a trailing comma to every line except the last.
- Format options apply to the list already on screen, so you can change case, hyphens, quotes or separator without generating again.
- Numbered results list with a running count and size in KB.
- “Copy all” and “Download .txt” buttons; the download is named like uuids-100.txt, using the number of UUIDs in the list.
- Saves your settings and last batch in this browser's local storage.

Questions
Is this UUID generator free?
Yes. It is free to use, needs no sign-up, and has no limit beyond 1000 UUIDs per batch. You can generate as many batches as you like.
Are the UUIDs uploaded or stored on a server?
No. They are generated in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere. Your settings and the last batch are kept only in this browser's local storage, and “Clear” empties the list.
How do I save or export the UUIDs?
Click “Copy all” to copy the list to your clipboard, or “Download .txt” to save a text file named after the number of UUIDs. The file contains the list in the format you chose.
What is a version 4 UUID?
A UUID is a 128-bit identifier, usually written as 32 hex characters in five groups. Version 4 is built from random numbers, and the “4” at the start of the third group marks the version.
How do I get UUIDs ready to paste into code or JSON?
Set Quotes to double or single quotes and Separator to “Comma”. Each line then looks like "uuid", with no comma after the last one, so you can paste it inside an array.
