Free Habit Tracker · saved on this device only

This free habit tracker is for anyone who wants a simple place to check off daily habits without making an account. It opens with six sample habits, such as morning meditation and an evening walk, so you can see how it works before replacing them with your own. Each habit has a category, a current streak, a goal in days and a notes field.

The app has four pages: “Today”, “Progress”, “Log” and “Weekly”. You tick habits off on “Today”, set goals on “Progress”, record check-ins with a mood and a note on “Log”, and see a bar chart of check-ins per week. Everything is saved in the browser on this device. Nothing is uploaded, so there is no sign-in and no server holding your entries.

How to use it

  1. Use the sidebar on desktop or the tabs on your phone to move between “Today”, “Progress”, “Log” and “Weekly”.
  2. On “Today”, tick the checkbox beside each habit you have done. Type a new habit into the quick-add box to add it to the list.
  3. On “Progress”, press “Add” to open the “New Habit” dialog. Fill in the name, category, streak, goal and notes, then press “Save” (or “Cancel” to close it).
  4. Use the search box and the category filter to find a habit. Open the menu on a row to edit or delete it, including the sample habits.
  5. On “Log”, press “Add” or use the “Log a check-in” form to record the habit, date, mood and a note, then press “Save check-in”.
  6. Open “Weekly” to see how many check-ins you logged each week.
