This free goal tracker is for anyone who wants to keep personal goals in one place, whether that means running a half marathon, saving an emergency fund, or finishing a reading list. Each goal has an area of life, a target, your current progress, a deadline, and a status. Milestones let you write down what happened and when, so you can look back at the steps that got you there.
Your goals and milestones are saved in the browser on this device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. There is no account to create. The app opens with sample goals and milestones that you can edit or delete, so you can see how it works before adding your own. Clearing your browser data for this site will remove what you saved.
How to use it
- Open “Goals” from the sidebar (or the tabs on a phone) and look over the sample goals. Edit or delete them from the menu on each row.
- Click “Add” to open the “New Goal” dialog. Enter the goal, its area of life, a target, your current progress, a deadline, and a status, then click “Save”.
- Use the search box or the status filter to find a goal. Open the row menu to update your progress as you go.
- Open “Board” to see your goals in lanes by status: Not started, In progress, Completed, and On hold.
- Go to “Milestones”, pick a goal, describe what happened, set the date, and click “Log milestone”.
- Check “Overview” for goal counts, average progress, milestones logged, and a chart of goals by area of life.

Questions
Is this goal tracker really free?
Yes. It is free to use, and you do not need to sign up or create an account.
Where is my data stored?
Your goals and milestones are saved in your browser on this device. Nothing is uploaded, so they will not appear on another device or browser, and clearing site data will remove them.
Can I get the code?
Yes. Click “Steal the code” and the app downloads as a React project that you can open, change, and run yourself.
What can I track with a goal?
Each goal has a target number and a current progress number, so you can track things like kilometres run, books read, or dollars saved. You can also set an area of life, a deadline, and a status.
What is the difference between goals and milestones?
A goal is the thing you are working toward, with a target and a status. A milestone is a dated note about something that happened along the way, linked to one of your goals.
