This free grocery list is for anyone who wants a quick way to plan a shop without creating an account. Type an item, optionally pick an aisle such as Produce, Dairy or Frozen and add a quantity, then tick it off as you put it in the cart. A “By Aisle” page groups the same items so you can walk the store in order.
Your list is saved in the browser on this device, and nothing is uploaded to a server. That keeps it private and works without signing in, but it also means the list stays on this device and browser rather than syncing to another phone. The app opens with sample items and staples that you can edit or delete.
How to use it
- Open “My List” (sidebar on desktop, tabs on phones) and type an item into the quick-add box.
- Or use the “Add an item” form to enter the item, choose an aisle, add a quantity, and press “Add to list”.
- Tick the checkbox next to each item as you put it in your cart.
- Switch to “By Aisle” to see your items in one lane per aisle.
- Open “Staples” to keep a table of things you buy often. Search it, or press “Add” to open the “New Staple” dialog, then choose “Save” or “Cancel”.
- Use the menu on a staple row to edit or delete it.

A grocery list: a quick-add checklist of items with aisle and quantity, items grouped by aisle on a board, and a list of favorite staples. Friendly and simple, works great on a phone, fresh green accent.
Questions
Is this free grocery list really free?
Yes. It is free to use, and there is no account or signup.
Where is my grocery list stored?
In the browser on this device. Nothing is uploaded, so the list won't appear on other devices or browsers, and clearing your browser data for this site will remove it.
Can I get the code?
Yes. “Steal the code” downloads this app as a React project that you can edit and run yourself.
Can I share the list with someone else?
Not automatically. Because the data stays in your browser on this device, another person would need to use this same device to see or change it.
Do I have to choose an aisle for each item?
No. Aisle and quantity are optional. Choosing an aisle just lets the “By Aisle” page place the item in the right lane.
